DCSA's Counterintelligence (CI) Directorate is seeking a highly motivated CI professional to serve as a CI Analyst to identify and assess threats to DCSA, the trusted workforce, and cleared industry. In this role you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for providing analytical products involving all-source intelligence analysis of Foreign Intelligence entities (FIE) posing threats to US national security and integrating intelligence data to generate expert analysis and reports.

Duties

As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: 1. The incumbent provides analytic expertise to the DCSA to identify, assess, and disrupt threats to cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA. 2. The incumbent serves as the technical consultant in the field of all-source counterintelligence (CI) analysis, with a focus on foreign intelligence entities, threats to critical technology and related subject matter areas as they pertain to personnel and industrial security. 3. The Incumbent reviews and interprets threat data from all information sources, including the DoD, Intelligence Community and raw information obtained by DCSA by the routine conduct of its missions to assess foreign intelligence threats to U.S. critical technologies, to identify new trends or patterns, and produces finished intelligence assessments and briefs of findings. 4. The incumbent provides CI insight related to U.S. Government agencies and organizations, DCSA and Industrial Security and Personnel Security Investigative (PSI) elements of DCSA to thwart attempts by foreign intelligence entities to obtain protected US information and technology. 5. The incumbent alerts DCSA intelligence customers to indications that a critical technology, contractor facility, government organization, or an individual has been targeted for intelligence activities or situations that exist which increases the opportunity for exploitation by foreign intelligence entities. 6. The incumbent identifies intelligence gaps and works with DCSA CI Operations Division and the Intelligence Community to drive collection and information gathering.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 2. Writing - Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience. 3. Processing and Exploitation Capabilities - Demonstrates knowledge of how relevant INTs are processed from collection to dissemination and demonstrates knowledge of INT report formats and terminology. Understands capabilities and limitations of information processing and exploitation techniques associated with each INT. 4. Researching - Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information. Obtains, evaluates, organizes, and maintains information. 5. Counterintelligence - Apply knowledge of the Counterintelligence Functional Services categories, to include: support to arms control/treaties; briefings, debriefings and reporting; research and analysis; and inquires.
