You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE at Gulfport, MS.
Duties
You will analyze metrics and operations independently and resolve difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures.
You will ensure the most efficient and effective methods of accomplishing the department's mission are used within the framework of governing directives and objectives outlined by higher authority.
You will provide direction to subordinates coordinating both internal and external procedures and operations.
You will collaborate with the Site Director/Supply Officer and other regional counterparts as required and apply experience, judgement and innovation in the direction, coordination, and administration of daily logistics and supply system operations.
You will prepare budget forecasting/input for the department operating budget.
Requirements

Qualifications
I have one year of specialized Supply Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying an extensive knowledge of supply principles, concepts and methodologies including inventory management, storage/warehouse management, quality control and material management in support of a supply program. I also have experience leading subordinate logistics/supply employees, and assigning work to others based on customer priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees or team members.
Examples of specialized experience may include:
1) Analyzing metrics and operations independently and resolving difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures;
2) Ensuring the most efficient and effective methods of accomplishing the department's mission are used within the framework of governing directives and objectives outlined by higher authority;
3) Providing direction to subordinates coordinating both internal and external procedures and operations;
4) Utilizing a broad range of computer applications, including supply databases, to perform inventory management functions and input budget and manpower requirements;
5) Planning and executing funding for financial allocations, phasing plans, execution plans, staffing plans, statistical reporting and activity reports for operations.
