About the Position: This is a position with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command. Incumbent will serve as an Equal Employment Manager, servicing Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; and offices at various geographic locations. The US Army Space & Missile Defense Command is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). Duties

Retrieve, compile and analyze statistical data in order to provide advice and guidance to managers, and supervisors. Evaluate the Disabled Veterans (DVAAP), Individuals with Disabilities (IWD) affirmative employment programs, special emphasis program, and the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Complaints Processing Program Provide feedback to managers on progress made in meeting their EEO performance standards. Participate in developing the EEO program through development of the Affirmative Employment Program (AEP). Perform oversight of automated data processing systems such as Army complaints system, DoD Investigations, Resolutions Case Processing system, Business Objects Universe, FED SEP and/or tracking and reporting status of the command’s EEO complaint

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing all phases of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint process including the input of discrimination data in systems such as DoD Investigations Resolutions Division (IRD), Business Objects Universe, and The Federal Sector EEO Portal (EEO FedSEP); Recommending solutions to eliminate EEO Barriers to improve work environment; Coordinating the development of manager's affirmative action reports for submission; Assisting with processing reasonable accommodations in accordance with Department of Army policy; Assisting with Special Emphasis Program; and Developing queries in automated tools to compile and extract data for analysis on demographics. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 / GS-11).
