You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIV, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $156,323.00).

Duties

You will serve as the NCTE Program Management (RS20P1) Branch Head as a first level supervisor. You will be responsible for the execution of the NCTE program's day to day tasks and ensures the delivery of quality products on time and within budget. You will provide active management and engagement with members and ensure reporting and status of all critical tasking is accurate, relevant and provided to NCTE Program Manager and NCTE Deputy Program Manager. You will apply human capital management policies and regulations in leading and managing personnel assigned to the branch. You will administer the branch budget, manages customer relationships and programs, creates and promotes a shared vision of the organization, and fosters cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups. You will support command strategic initiatives and thinks corporately. You will communicate with superiors, peers, subordinates, across the command, and with sponsors and business partners. You will establish objectives, sets priorities, uses internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the branch.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying human capital management policies and regulations to lead and manage personnel for the improvement of administrative processes for a warfare organization.
