The IT Project Manager is located in the Office of the Deputy Chief Information Officer (ODCIO. The Information Technology Project Manager serves in the following program areas:
(1) Administration Solutions Applications Transition Team
(2) Health Data Products Applications Transition Team or
(3) Ancillary Solutions Applications Transition Team for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office
(EHRM-IO).
Duties
Project management and oversight for EHRM-IO Information Technology Projects.
Managing and coordinating various projects and program level operations.
Planning of project operations of EHRM-IO
Implementing approved systems to enhance the effectiveness of business operations within EHRM-IO
Facilitate high level projects, ensuring, schedule, security, risk, budget, acquisitions, implementation, education, and communication issues are managed appropriately.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm
Compressed/Flexible: Available at management's discretion
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

For the GS-13: To meet the basic requirements for the Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210, you must possess experience:
Experience: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

Selective Placement Factor - The Selective Placement Factor (SPF) for this position is demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of Project Management (PMI) and Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) Program Project Management (PPM) Level I, II, or III to apply project management disciplines for project life cycle.
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: the ability to manage the full application full life cycle stewardship, optimizing total cost of ownership and managing technical debt/obsolescence. Demonstrated experience leading and briefing modern software development technologies, methodologies, best practices, relevant tools and platforms, and architectures (Service Mesh, API, AI/ML, Multi/Hybrid Cloud, CI/CD automation, Low/No Code, etc.).
