You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the TRAINING COMMAND of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will manage the day-to-day activities associated with providing CISP/WIFI services to all end-users using the CISP/WIFI Network. This includes both staff and visitors.
You will participate in strategic network planning, steady state operations planning and development of contingency operation plans related to the CISP/WIFI capabilities.
You will provide service and configuration management for between 100 and 3,000 unclassified end user devices used on the TRNGCMD HQ or MSE CISP/WIFI Network.
You will perform hardware and software inventory and asset management of computers, associated peripherals, and applications.
You will use program management skills to maintain localized configuration management, continual process improvement and financial management oversight for the TRNGCMD HQ CISP/WIFI Network.
You will coordinate configuration management activities and policy implementation. Implement IT configurations, changes, upgrades, releases and installations.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and coordinating installation of commercial internet and WIFI network services for an organization, identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, and managing cost, performance, and schedule risk. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education Substitution: In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
GS-11:
Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
Successfully completed 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
GS-09:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR
Successfully completed 2 full years (36 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
