You will serve as a COMMUNITY LIAISON in the G-5 Government and External Affairs (GEA) of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
Duties
You will provide early Government and External Affairs (GEA) presence and pro-active role in building partnerships and communicating with Federal, State, regional, county and local municipalities, government and agencies.
You will review and evaluate land development regulations and ordinances for consistency with GEA program, planning and project strategy and activity.
You will conduct analysis, research, surveys and studies using knowledge and familiarity with emerging trends and practices, to assist in developing strategies to avoid incompatible development within the four-county area.
You will review documents, plans, strategies and studies which often include statistical analysis information derived from maps, aerial photographs, and the technical resources.
You will assure adherence to the principles, practices and analytical methods of comprehensive land use planning and project development.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing documents and plans to ensure compatibility with land use, noise mitigation; engaging with internal and external personnel related to encroachment and management activities.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
