About the Position: Serves as a Headquarters, U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Desk Officer in support of one of the respective Commanders of US Army Pacific (USARPAC), US Army South (USARSO), US Army North (ARNORTH), US Army Central (ARCENT), US Army Europe (USAREUR), US Army Africa (USARAF), U.S. Army Forces Command (USAFORSCOM) and/or other Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs) areas of responsibility (AOR).

Duties

Directs medical crisis action teams during planning, execution, and after-action review phases of events requiring military medical support. The events include but are not limited to DA and joint service exercises, civil emergency, contingency operations, and peacekeeping operations that support the ASCC Theater Campaign Plans (TCPs).

Requirements

  • Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • Up to 10% TDY may be required
  • Position is subject to irregular duty hours especially in conjunction with contingency operations and exercises.

Develops, analyzes, prepares and delivers detailed executive summaries and briefings relative to events within the area of responsililibty (AOR). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision SupportOrganizational Performance AnalysisVulnerabilities Assessment Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
