About the Position: The Position is with the Defense Health Agency, Puget Sound Market, Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. The primary purpose of the work is to support designated clinical service lines assigned to Madigan Army Medical Center. Working with providers, nurses and other administrative and clinical para-professionals to address workflow improvements and the assimilation of new product lines and services for clinical care.
Duties
Work with customers to diagnose a business problem and recommend an appropriate set of tools and applications as a solution without bias to any particular type of technology.
You will engineer the identification of other groups or disciplines that may be impacted by the business process under study and coordinate their involvement either as a consortium (multiple customers sharing a similar need) or as technologists.
Facilitate business planning meetings with the use of tools and/or techniques to assist in idea generation and problem solving and setting of ground rules.
Analyze Electronic Health Record (EHR) operations and programs in order to conduct comprehensive and complex studies
Conduct comprehensive and complex studies in a wide range of technical areas and circumstances within the military hospital setting.
Coordinate multiple projects associated with health care programs and systems to include information systems.
Requirements

- Position may require approximately 35% TDY travel.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting healthcare studies and surveys; draft improvements for overall healthcare operation practices and policies; performing evaluations on healthcare systems as it relates to inpatient and outpatient records; working with treatment facility personnel as well as management on healthcare processes; making recommendations on operational performance for areas of the hospital to maintain or improve the quality of service and health care delivered.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 11 or above).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
