About the Position: This position is for the Department of Radiology located at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. A recruitment MAY BE authorized. Salary negotiation MAY BE available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Perform oversight and management of clinical operations; public relations; systematic internal reviews, space utilization, strategic planning, and business analysis for administrative decision-making. Provide assistance in monitoring clinics and health plan management to maintain or improve the quality of service and health care delivered by the outpatient clinics. Perform oversight and management of administrative operations within the department. Conduct operational performance assessments and identify and develop process improvement plans.

Requirements

• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing problems related to the operation of health care delivery systems and performing a variety of administrative duties associated with civilian contracts, such as, review or manage the contract budget, review contract proposals, provide advisory services to contractors and make sure contractor is in compliance with contract in a health care facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
