About the Position: Serves as first line supervisor and primary point of contact and subject matter expert of administrative matters at Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Headquarters (HQ) within the G1, Passport Services Division (PSD).

Duties

Conducts quality control over the visa delivery process, ensuring that visa letter writers adhere to established procedures and protocols for each country. Ensures inspections of facilities are conducted to ensure compliance with DoD and DoS certification requirements. Supervises the management of the facility certification of all DoD passport acceptance facilities world-wide. Coordinates with DoS to ensure changes in requirements are implemented in training program. Supervises employees responsible for executing training events for DoD passport acceptance agents assigned to passport acceptance facilities world-wide.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year supervisory trial/probationary period may be required.

Current Civilian Employees of the Organization Current Civilian Employees of the Organization In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Processing passport and VISA applications. Reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting the Foreign Clearance Guide and documents submitted to determine if applicants are eligible to apply for a special issuance passport or VISA. Experience determining what type of passport is authorized for VISA entry requirements for foreign countries. Utilizing the Foreign Clearance Guide and the Passport Matters website in reviewing the application for correctness and completion; and ensuring all required documents, passports, and photos, are provided by applicants. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
