About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
You may need to complete a 3 year probationary period, if applicable.
This position is located at the 7th SIG CMD (T) 21st SIG BDE 56th SIG BN.
Duties
Plan, program, formulate, and execute the budget of assigned programs by reviewing and utilizing pertinent policies and objectives.
Analyze authorization and appropriations legislation for impact on assigned programs or funds.
Monitor year-end closing to ensure proper and full use of the activity’s funds with no anti-deficiency violation.
Maintain informal commitment and obligation records of OMA and OPA funds.
Perform fund-control functions to coordinate, plan, and manage GFEBS reimbursable transactions administered through the execution of approved budgets and programs.
Execute multiple contracts, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), G-Army purchases, and travel and purchase card transactions and manage them throughout the fiscal year.
Participate in budget meetings concerning the activity’s operating programs and advise on the financial status, progress and accomplishments, and probable effects of alternative actions.
Establish controls, including performing explanatory reviews of potential internal control problems in areas subject to waste, embezzlement, unauthorized diversion of resources, or erroneous records.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Incumbent of this position must comply with statutory and regulatory security requirements.
- The investigation requirement for this position is tier 3 (T3). Position IT access level is authorized (general user). Position sensitivity is noncritical sensitive.
