You will serve as a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) in the SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION AND NETWORKING (N91), EXTERNAL SUPPORT (N9) of NCTAMS PACIFIC.
This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties
You will head the Global Command and Control System (GCCS) Systems Administration Division, managing civilians and contractors.
You will be responsible for administering division resources and directing efforts to maintain systems supporting commands and subordinate sites.
You will perform all supervisory functions to ensure all work completion is within prescribed schedules and target time.
You will perform, direct and supervise the analysis of installed computer infrastructure to determine changes in resources, procedures and automated processes.
You will troubleshoot data flow between GCCS and other applications and services.
You will oversee and perform analysis, present and propose configurations and recommend changes to procedures, computer resource allocations, and required for network optimization.
You will facilitate user access to GCCS applications and data.
You will design and implement back up strategies for servers and data for all GCCS-J enclaves.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451/411, proficiency level ADVANCED the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Identifying and implementing strategies for data and service recovery.

Experience managing and performing integration of computers, peripherals, networks, software and infrastructure to ensure systems meet identified requirements.
Experience analyzing installed computer infrastructure to determine changes in resources, procedures, and automated processes.
Experience troubleshooting data flow between systems, applications and services.
Experience identifying root causes of failures and instituting measures to reduce future occurrences.
Experience using a variety of IT operating systems, databases and peripheral equipment.
This position is within the Work Category Supervision and Management at Work Level Full Performance, Series and Grade GG-2210-13.
