Duties
Serves in the Command Action Branch of the Strategic Communication Division in the Command Support Office of DLA Troop Support.
Conducts analytical studies, prepares briefings and presentations relating to program objectives.
Manages progress and reporting of DLA Troop Support’s strategic initiatives in the Annual Operating Plan.
Serves as project leader on Command directed organizational studies/briefings.
Reviews, researches, analyzes, integrates, and develops studies, briefings, reports, positions papers and information packages in order to document and inform the Command and Supply Chains about highly visible, complex internal and external issues.
Analyzes pertinent policies, procedures, laws, and regulations applicable to Corporate and Supply Chain initiatives.
Manages the local Government Purchase Card program and is a Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request Receipt Official, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, and audit requirements.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Management Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Comprehensive knowledge of the theory and principles of management and organizations and their interrelationships to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of administrative and technical programs.
Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct studies, reports, position papers, information packages and briefings in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Corporate and Supply Chain Initiatives.
Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques such as workflow, statistical analysis, task/trend analysis, computer flowcharting, graphic charts, etc. to measure and improve work methods, processes, and procedures of Corporate and Supply Chain Initiatives.
Skill in conducting specials studies and analysis, preparation of fact sheets, position papers, staff memorandums, and delivering briefings to managers to encourage acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Planning, scheduling, and conducting projects to make substantive recommendations relative to management controls and long-range planning.
Advanced knowledge of computer software programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant programs/applications, along with the ability to gather, analyze and evaluate data relative to the effectiveness of program operations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
