About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center GEOSPATIAL Intelligence Battalion Wright Patterson AFB, OH 45433.

Duties

Serves as a Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) analytic specialist. Processes raw imagery, data, and information from a variety of sensors and sources to develop tailored, focused, and time-sensitive GEOINT products for a variety of users. Responsible for the accuracy, production, and timeliness of various GEOINT products and services for a variety of users. Responsible for the creation of GEOINT support to targeting related products. Responds to formal, informal requests for support and requests for information (RFI) from a variety of users and supported customers from tactical, operational and strategic level units, intelligence agencies and joint/sister services. Provides input into development, implementation and maintenance of new processes, projects, policies, and toolsets of Army, Defense and IC processing and exploitation programs that operationalize GEOINT.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
