You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will review and assist in the development of planning and procurement documents to ensure integrations of DOD/DON policies, procedures, contract provisions and contract data requirements. You will participate in the development of appropriate high level and supporting level metrics which demonstrate level of performance being achieved. You will coordinate and provide guidance to IWST team personnel in analysis and overall logistics management of existing PBL contracts and PBL solutions under development. You will work effectively with senior level personnel representing all supply support stakeholders within Department of Defense (DoD), US Navy (USN), other services, FMS and industry.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level 2. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of all Integrated Product elements, their interrelationships and demonstrating ability to formulate alternative and creative logistics such as Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contracts, LECPs, business case analyses, return on investment analyses, etc.; 2) Leading and coordinating a highly effective and efficient team by developing and fostering an atmosphere of change, demonstrating team work skills with successful examples of team accomplishments; 3) Performing demand analysis and forecasting future demand; 4) Performing Business Case Analyses (BCA), Return on Investment Analyses (ROI), or similar analysis to formulate budgets and manage resources; 5) Conducting in-depth data analysis to develop supply support strategies and present findings to program leadership.
