About the Position: Serves as principal Executive Assistant to the Director of Operations and Support, Army Budget Office, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller (OASA(FM&C).
This is not telework eligible with the exception of situational (storm days, etc.)
Duties
Plan official functions, conferences, and speaking engagements for senior leaders according to scheduled availability.
Serve as point of contact for callers and visitors to the office, which include high-ranking officials.
Advise administrative staff on office administration issues.
Use a wide variety of laws, regulations, policies, and precedents applicable to the administration of management and administrative programs and systems.
Review documents for completeness of reply, grammatical and procedural correctness, and conformance to regulation.
Produce travel orders, travel vouchers, and training requests for senior levels of management.
Oversee task management using systems of record and manage personnel actions.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and Maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Occasional TDY up to 5% of the time may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). GS-09: To be eligible at the GS-9 grade level, you must have one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service or Education or a Combination of Education and Experience as defined below:
Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: maintaining calendars concerning scheduling and planning official functions, conferences, briefings, or speaking engagements; assisting in coordinating travel arrangements with automated travel system such as Defense Travel System (DTS); utilizing the full Microsoft Office suite to include Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, 365, Word and Zoom; reviewing correspondence, reports, etc., for format, grammar, and punctuation.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: A master's degree in business or management or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL. B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.
OR
Combining Education and Experience: A combination of specialized experience and education as described above which when combined equal 100% of the requirements. (Only graduate level education in excess of the first full year can be used in this calculation). To calculate your percentage of graduate education, first determine the total number of graduate level hours that exceed 18 semester hours (or your school's definition of one year of graduate study), then divide the total number of your excess graduate semester hours by 18 (or your school's definition of one year of graduate study). To calculate your percentage of specialized experience, divide the total number of months of qualifying experience by 12. Now, add the two percentages together. The sum of the percentages must equal at least 100%.
