Duties
You will serve as Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Force Accounting Division at Navy Special Warfare Command.
You will review and analyze complex situations related to DAI (Defense Agencies Initiative) Accounting System and play a pivotal part in CNSW’s sustainment operations.
You will have a deep understanding of DAI or other ERP software, with experience in B2R, O2C, P2P, and other DAI business segments.
You will provide technical, professional accounting advice by recommending solutions to address accounting and financial management problems across the agency. Make recommendations to financial policies and directives as a result.
You will encounter unknown/undocumented situations related to NSW’s recent migration to DAI; you will be proactive, willing to understand, develop and document resolutions for the organization
You will provide NSW and its Echelon III activities guidance on accounting system and feeder system, pay policies and procedures, and their impact on the financial management process.
You will coordinate with DFAS Rome on period close activities, JVs, trial balance reconciliation, etc. A strong knowledge of USSGL and trial balance is preferred.
You will supervise a team and assign work to subordinates, develop performance standards, evaluate employee performance, enhance employee development and training, and ensure training requirements are satisfied.

- This position may require some travel (up to 25%) away from the normal duty station or for technical coordination with other organizations.
- This is a Financial Management Level III Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NOAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timeline.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, interpreting, and/or revising accounting and finance systems policies and procedures; identifying problem areas and determining action required to improve operating program effectiveness.
