This position serves as a Supervisory Management and Program Analysis Officer, located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Executive Secretariat (OES) in Washington, DC. The OES is responsible for the management of Department of Justice's (DOJ) leadership correspondence and records. The OES plays a central role on internal and external coordination for information sharing and providing direct support to DOJ leadership.

The duties and responsibilities of a Supervisory Management and Program Analysis Officer, GS-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Oversee the execution of a complex program efforts, ensuring adherence to established timelines and quality standards.
Provide expert advice to senior leadership on policy matters, political impacts, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide strategic guidance and counsel to leadership on a wide range of issues, organization strategy, resource allocation and optimization.
Manages and demonstrates a mastery of programmatic requirements imposed on the Department by law, regulation, or Executive Order, particularly as they relate to senior leadership's ability to oversee and respond to requirements that directly impact the agency's accomplishment of its missions.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31, 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Management and Program Analysis Officer at (GS-0343-15), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level (GS-14), to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: 1) Develop qualitative or quantitative methods of evaluating administrative programs; 2) Recommend improvements to enhance administrative program effectiveness; and 3) Updating policies or procedures to ensure compliance with new or proposed legislation.
