About the Position: Serves as the Housing Management Specialist, performing work related to housing management program evaluation, program development and program administration.

Duties

Provide technical guidance and/or responds to request for advice/assistance from operating, housing offices. Coordinate the conduct of audits, studies, inspections, and surveys of housing management and the follow-up implementation and reporting of responses to such activities. Provide technical assistance and/or makes recommendations to other housing managers and their staffs to improve the housing management program. Review the operational concepts, policies, and practices of the separate installations/post.

Requirements

• TDY may be up to 25%.
• Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of the appointment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing policies for aspects of housing program; managing and coordinating housing management programs and projects; and advising on all matters relating to the management, operation, and utilization of housing assets, and handling a variety of unique or unconventional problems or difficulties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
