Duties
Planning, organizing and directing of Army Housing functions.
Conduct studies/surveys for review of field installations housing management operations.
Represent the organization as the authority on Army barracks, centralized family housing, and Housing referral Service program.
Assemble and lead team engaged in professional work overseeing housing operations.
Provide oversight to Privatized housing operations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1.) Serve as a staff advisor and expert consultant on housing management issues, a first level supervisor, and as a task force team leader for the Army-wide housing management program (both family and unaccompanied personnel), Residential Communities Initiative, and Sustainability Team.
2.) Provide policy and administrative direction concerning overall Housing priorities and objectives. Guidelines are broad in scope and include AMC headquarters, IMCOM, DoD, DA and other Federal regulations, policies, legislative, ordinances, directives, decisions, and legal precedents that govern construction, occupancy and the use and operation of housing facilities to develop area wide administrative plans and procedures.
3.) Recommend solutions or amendments to unique or unusually complex problems. Applies the latest management concepts and techniques and novel problems to develop policies and procedures to prepare expert advisory materials on matters of regional importance including trends and market acceptability concerns (i.e. design features, labor and cost, sites etc.).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
