Duties
You will maintain budget data in automated systems to monitor budget obligations and expenditure.
You will compile budget information to examine, verify, and maintain information for accounts.
You will prepare financial documents to process budget or accounting request.
You will review financial actions to correct or amend actions in automated financial systems.
You will collaborate with staff to provide information related to accounting and budget issues.
You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports.
You will perform work consisting of examination of documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government, satisfaction or default in fulfilling contractual obligations.
You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing account maintenance and establishment, budget analysis, data arrangement and financial reporting for an organization or financial program.
