This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Resource & Work Planning (TEBW), Internal Operations (TEB), Engineering & Technical Service (TE), Transmission Services (T).
A successful candidate will be responsible for providing centralized, coordinated, system-wide work planning, scheduling & evaluation services to ensure maintenance, sustain, & expand programs are conducted in a manner that is cost effective & efficient.
Duties
As a Work Planner Scheduler, you will:
Analyze and formulate system resource needs (people, materials and equipment) to accomplish the work plan using input from Resource Managers, Project Managers, Technical Services, Asset and Workload Planning, Customer Service Engineering and other system stakeholders.
Consolidate work around outage windows and opportunities to maximize availability of the transmission system.
Monitor work plan accomplishments throughout the year and reports work plan progress to Transmission Engineering and Technical Services managers.
Determine resource requirements to implement the Transmission Engineering and Technical Services' maintenance, sustain, and expand programs; and schedules and recommends the augmentation of team resources from details or exchanges between functions based upon system priorities.
Assure work that is compliance or regulatory driven (i.e. NERC, WECC etc.) is planned and scheduled within the prescribed timeframes (45 day outage planning requirement) and with the appropriate resources assigned.
Prepare briefings, reporting, and presentation materials on the objectives, methods, status, metrics and findings of the work plan and program performance metrics.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in 1) performing business management work to conduct work planning and scheduling activities, and 2) developing solutions for work planning and scheduling issues and problems in order to deliver resource and work planning products efficiently.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Physical Demands: Work for the most part is sedentary with no special physical demands. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items.
Work Environment: The employee normally works in an office that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require the normal safety precautions. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Visits to production areas are infrequent and relatively free of hazards to the employee.
