You will serve as a Division Manager in the Quality Assurance Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.
Duties
You will responsible for long range planning, developing and implementing the Divisions Quality Assurance (QA) program and goals to ensure that contractual obligation have been met.
You will provide primary contractual and quality oversight of the Government contracted Ship building and repair efforts.
You will plan, organize, develop, evaluate, and implement changes necessary to ensure a quality assurance program which will provide, on a continuing basis, quality information for ascertaining that contractual requirements have been met.
You will be responsible for designing a quality assurance plan that includes a surveillance plan, special projects, quality related studies, and investigation of quality problems related to the quality of products or the contractor's quality program.
You will coordinate all oversight efforts concerning the monitoring installation, activation and test of ship wide mechanical systems.
You will coordinate all oversight efforts concerning the monitoring of propulsion, steering, air conditioning and refrigeration, firefighting, flooding and damage control and power generation.
You will monitor the capability of the builder' s processes, regularly audit their in-process execution, and inspect the final products produced.
You will make decisions on administrative and intricate quality problems presented by subordinate team leaders, and advise, counsel and instruct these personnel in analyzing and resolving problems.
You will plan and apply QA methods and techniques to audit and monitor the contractor's QA system and processes.
You will hear group grievances and serious employee complaints, and those not resolved at lower levels.
You will investigate complaints, and initiate disciplinary actions likely to involve suspension or removal of employees.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance in quality assurance inspections, assessments, or surveillance of contractor performance, operations, or quality control processes to ensure compliance with shipbuilding requirements.
