This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO).
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical and administrative supervision to a subordinate staff and conduct complex analyses, evaluations, or investigations in support of organizational programs, systems, and processes.
Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a Supervisory Program Analyst, GS-0343-14, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Asessing program effectiveness or the improvement of complex program and management processes and systems encompassing challenging and diverse functions or issues that affect critical aspects of the major DHS programs.
Directing the capture, reporting, and analysis of statistical data relating to the organization's operations and directing or personally performing direct or personally performing special studies or projects.
Preparing and contributing to reports and other presentations on program planning and evaluation.
Designing and conducting a wide variety of comprehensive studies and detailed analyses of complex functions and processes related to program planning and management.
Establishing and maintaining liaison with program directors and working closely with their representatives to ensure that concerns such as proper requirements definition and adequate funding are met.

Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as:
1) Assessing program effectiveness or the improvement of complex program and management processes and systems encompassing difficult and diverse functions or issues that affect critical aspects of the major programs; 2) Conducting comprehensive evaluations of ongoing functions to ensure that the organization meets its stated goals, and identifies areas where operational efficiency can be enhanced; 3) Planning and assigning work, setting performance requirements and evaluating performance, and exercising delegated personnel management authorities.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
