About the Position: Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over the General Supply Division, exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations.

Duties

Plan and establish overall leave schedules for workgroup. Approve or disapprove leave requests submitted by subordinate workers. Provide instructions, standard procedures, and overall priorities and policies to accomplish quality of work. Determine equipment, supplies, and maintenance required for daily task.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position meets the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening and random testing.
  • This position requires an Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AAE) Security Certification/Screening in accordance AR 190-11.
  • This position is a Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
  • This position requires a commercial driver's license, handle hazardous material, munitions and explosives; transport one or more passengers on at least a weekly basis; and control and extinguish fires and/or perform rescue duties.
  • Performs duties which involve surveillance and/or handling of hazardous waste. Must complete the introductory course in hazardous waste management within six months of being assigned to this position and attend annual refresher course.
  • Complete the RO CBT course within 90 days of appointment. The RO must complete the Formal Joint Terminal Managers and Responsible Officers Course within 120 days of appointment. The RO must complete the RO CBT every two years for refresher training.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Conducting daily meetings with subordinates, developing performance standards for appraisals, and identifying training needs and implement training plans. Prioritizing workload based on priorities and future deadlines. I have the basic understanding of how to utilize systems to track production. I work under normal supervision of work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
