About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Public Works.
Duties
Serves as Engineering Technician with responsibilities in construction, space planning, and energy consumption.
Maintains physical and electronic records for projects.
Monitors consumable and building supply inventory.
Develops cost estimates and designs to procure contracted services.
Generates chart and graphs to represent energy consumption data.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position

Minimum Qualifications GS-10: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Overseeing the installation of complex systems and associated facilities; Collecting data or modifying designs to achieve performance/cost objectives; Compiling information from technical documents, design reports, plans, and/or specifications; and Interpreting agency policy and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
All qualification requirements, including time after competitive appointment, must be met within 30 days of closing date of this announcement.
