About the Position: You will serve as the Senior Logistics Management Specialist and Technical Advisor for the Directorate of Logistics and Engineering (G4), Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region (JFHQ-NCR)/Military District of Washington (MDW). Responsible for developing logistics support programs and concepts for JFHQ-NCR/MDW and its subordinates.
Duties
Develop plans for the reception and integration of deployed forces to support local operations orders and directives.
Participate in the work of the team, and coach in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques.
Coordinate movement plans to insure a synchronized flow of troops and equipment in support of operational plans.
Represent all logistics matters senior level functional Department of Defense (DoD) and interagency steering committees and planning councils.
Requirements

- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- The employee may be required to work overtime.
- The employee may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing logistics support programs; conducting mission analysis of logistics support; and integrating capabilities to support operational readiness and support mission requirements for logistics and transportation.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
