You will serve as an Administrative Specialist in the Officer in Charge of Construction Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Kittery of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will identify, analyze, and make recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations related to the programs administered. You will perform administrative functions and ensure consistent practices and processes in the Construction Division in accordance with OICC Command Policies and Office Rules. You will develop, implement, sustain, and oversee innovative and practical administrative processes to enhance the efficient and effective administrative operations. You will direct consistent methods for e-files management, incoming/outgoing mail and directives, messenger services, publications and printing. You will formulate execution and embedded management strategies for adequate, consistent, and efficient coverage across the matrixed line for use of Government Purchase Cards, cell phones, vehicles, equipment and other tools.

Requirements

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing administrative functions with a full understanding of all administrative guidance and instructions; 2) Establishing, overseeing, and sustaining an efficient and effective internal process for correspondence; 3) Directing consistent methods for e-files management, incoming/outgoing mail and directives, messenger services, publications and instructions; 4) Identifying, analyzing, and making recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations related to the programs administered. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
