Duties

Develops application security plans, policy guidance, operations regulations, and procedures to ensure Information Assurance (IA) regulatory requirements are followed in support of assigned applications and systems. Enforces security policies and safeguards for systems including stopping system operation if warranted by the seriousness of security violations. Collects information to evaluate the feasibility of proposed operational improvements and/or new systems development projects. Provides advice, and guidance pertinent to IA program policies, guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in infrastructure development, maintenance, data management, network analysis, and risk management framework. Prepares accreditation packages via the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) automated cybersecurity certification and accreditation system Reviews the eMASS tool to assure compliance with Cybersecurity regulations. and investigates frequent or significant transmission/communication problems

Specialized experience is defined as: Supporting and resolving complex Information Technology (IT) technical problems in infrastructure development, data management and networks for Major Applications; conducting information systems security evaluations to modify and troubleshoot vulnerabilities and minimize threats; and implementing information assurance controls within automated information systems. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
