Duties
This position is located in the Operations Directorate, where the incumbent serves as the Special Assistant to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Assistant Director, Operations.
Responsible for analyzing and advising on a variety of administrative requirements and serves as the point of contact and authority on all matters of an administrative or clerical nature.
Reviews, prioritizes and addresses substantive and very complex issues impacting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Operations programs.
Participates with the Assistant Director, Operations in sensitive negotiations with external high-ranking officials to resolve critical issues and projects.
Prepares and/or coordinates recurring and other reports, and responses to senior management requests.
Works in collaboration with the Assistant Director Operations and other Directorate personnel to aide in regular and electronic mail, telephone calls, and other communications.

Qualifications
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
You must meet the minimum qualification requirements as stated in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-prof.asp.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Assisting within comprehensive analyses for critical issues such as short- and long-term strategies for administrative policies and programs. 2) Experience conducting presentations to advise mid-level management and peers. 3) communicate both orally and in writing, with all levels of management. 4) Writing and/or editing a variety of materials (reports, memorandums, emails).
For the GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Conducting comprehensive analyses of critical issues such as short-and long-term strategies for administrative policies and programs. 2) Advising senior leaders on technical policies and procedures, statutory and regulatory requirement and presenting recommendations. 3) Communicating orally and in writing, with all levels of executives and senior leaders. 4) Writing and/or editing a variety of materials (reports, memorandums, emails) and for executives and senior level review and approval.
