Duties
As a/an Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will:
Demonstrate HUD's commitment to equitable economic opportunity by integrating data-driven, forward-looking, and place-based principles focused on creating economic opportunity into HUD's spending decisions, administration and operations, programs, policies, and new legislative initiatives.
Build capacity of HUD staff to utilize effective strategies and partner with outside organizations and agencies to help residents, small businesses and communities achieve equitable economic recovery and resilience.
Align and leverage HUD's resources with those of other federal, state, and local agencies to more efficiently support economic recovery and resilience, particularly by embedding place-based approaches.
Coordinate actions required of the Department as a result of executive policy decisions and mandates, develop plans and coordinates major programs of joint effort related to agency priority goals and Secretarial initiatives.
Coordinate with key Departmental executives to ensure that Secretarial priorities and policies related to agency priority goals are effectively implemented throughout the Department.
Identifiy resolution of major problems requiring the attention of the Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Deputy Assistant Secretary and make recommendations on courses of action to resolve those problems. Manage the Office of Economic Development.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Developing and implementing policies and programs to drive community based economic development and/or economic recovery.
AND
- Leading a team or managing a staff to coordinate efficient operations of community and/or economic recovery programs.
AND
- Presenting organization or agency program initiatives to Senior Leadership, Government Officials, Grantees', and the General Public.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
