This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Long Term Power Planning (PGPR) organization of Power and Operations Planning (PGP), Generation Asset Management (PG), Power Services (P).
A successful candidate in the Operations Research Analyst position will serve as a lead responsible for analytical work involving designing and applying mathematical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques to model and track expected and potential hydro energy and capacity.

As an Operations Research Analyst, you will:

BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:1) Conducts analytical investigations using advanced scientific and/or mathematical methodology and problem solving; 2) Plans, organizes, and conducts/leads extremely complex technical analyses; and 3) Provides significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods.
