This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Office of Research Services. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as a senior analyst and advisor. You will evaluate the productivity and efficiency of administrative functions and advise on the planning and evaluation of Research Services' programs. You will also support the resolution to any resulting effectiveness issues.
Duties
As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST, you will:
Plan, coordinate, and conduct complex management and systems studies, as well as special projects that involve calculating and determining realistic and reliable estimates for manpower and costs, equipment and space requirements, completion timelines, and probable difficulties or issues that may be encountered.
Conduct reviews of program budgetary and financial activity. Advise and assist management in the conduct of these and related activities, as well as the budgetary and administrative aspects of special projects.
Serve as a liaison between the division and servicing human resources office. Prepare personnel action requests, develop or revise position descriptions for classification review.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-12 grade level is defined as one year of experience at the GS-11 grade level, or equivalent, that is typically in or related to the position and which equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience:
Developing and recommending new or revised procedures and methods; AND
Analyzing data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies; AND
Researching procedural and program information (qualitative and quantitative) and presenting findings and/or recommendations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F):
For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks.
