This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA
OC/INFRASTRUCTURE DIRECTORATE.
Duties
Directs, coordinates, and/or oversees work performed by assigned personnel including installation plans, schedules, and management of
resources to execute deliver of DISA services to the Agency and its customers.
Serves as a technical authority with the understanding to perform or analyze qualitative and quantitative analysis in efforts to assess and
improve network implementation and installation programs and its effectiveness.
Performs contract administration functions by approving technical requirements, reviewing and approving costs, developing technical specifications, and monitoring contractor work in progress to ensure Agency standards are met.
Manages funds and tracks obligations, expenditures, and disbursements for the respective equipment, system, or program to ensure adequate
resources are available to complete projects or provide service to customers.
Accepts or rejects work products from contractors.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis.

Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience in evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience planning, organizing and directing project teams in order to accomplish studies, analyses and evaluations of plans, programs, projects, network policies and procedures.
