Duties

You will assist in managing material procurement outfitting requirements in support of Reactor and Non-Reactor based assigned ship classes. You will assist with the research and development of procurement packages and acquisition strategies for General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE) items using a variety of resources. You will assist with identifying, managing, escalating, and mitigating supply-based risks throughout the procurement life cycle in support of prime contract requirements, operational goals, and business strategy. You will provide pier side support to validate configuration of material and calibration interval requirements and work with ship’s force and ship’s logistics personnel to reconcile discrepancies. You will assist with special projects and assignments designed specifically to meet the broadening intent of the position

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

DA-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DA-01) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the ability to: 1) Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Plan and organize work; and 3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing. DA-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (DA-02) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with research and development of procurement packages and acquisition strategies; 2) Ensuring obligations and expenditure benchmarks are met, completed on time and within budget; 3) Assisting with identifying supply-base risks throughout the procurement lift cycle in support of operational goals and business strategies; and 4) Collaborating with others and working in a team environment. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

DA-02:
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience


DA-03:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
