You will serve as the Head for the Joint Engineering Developmental Initiative (JEDI) Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE, located in China Lake, CA or Point Mugu, CA.
Duties
You will collaborate with 5.2 Division and Branch Managers, TPO/IPT Managers, and other stakeholders at NAWCWD for staffing requirements, and the Human Capital Group and ESDP Program Manager on the execution of hiring and developmental activities.
You will will directly oversee Department recruiting, hiring and on-boarding of approximately 40-200 entry level Scientist and Engineering employees a year across both Point Mugu and China Lake.
You will facilitate the fulfillment of facility and equipment needs, often in collaboration with other Divisions.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure NAWCWD capability through personnel resourcing is maintained across our various Divisions and NAWCWD Strategic Plan focus areas.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Your resume must demonstrate at least Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Collaborating with others to determine resource requirements, including personnel, equipment, and facilities; 2) Assisting with strategic planning and tactical execution of recruitment and retention, process definition/implementation, and mentoring of scientist and engineers; 3) Supervising a team and contributing to personnel development and training of entry level scientists and engineers.
