About the Position: This position is within the Headquarters, Office of the Director, Education Research, Accountability and Evaluation Division, Administration and Monitoring Branch located in Alexandria, Virginia.
Duties
Serve as Senior Editor for memos, briefing slides, reports, and graphics developed by the Division ensuring clarity and relevance to the audience.
Serve as the Contracting Officers Representative for contract associated with Division's efforts, projects, and initiatives.
Serve as the office expert on video teleconferencing services.
Utilize management science tools like optimization to guide decisions such as purchases, conference location selection, prediction of ordered quantities, and other related functions.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing key operational functions and events for Pre K-12 school system; developing process and guidelines to support planning and implementation of key initiatives; managing communication structures to create coherence of information across multiple stake holder groups and varying levels of authority; managing accuracy, appropriateness, and timely release of communication; and administering multi-million dollar contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
