Duties

This announcement closes on 10/24/2024 for receipt of applications. Due to high volume of applicants, the first 25 applicants will receive first consideration. The incumbent must be a customer service professional who can work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Things happen quickly and continuously in this position, and the incumbent will find the need to move from one task to another without much time in between or juggling multiple duties at the same time. This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Human Capital (OHC), Executive Services Unit (ESU). ESU provides advisory, technical and operations services to all ICE's executive level corps to include Senior Executive Service (SES), Senior Level, Schedule Cs, and Experts and Consultants throughout ICE. ESU also provides SES Succession Planning and Development services to support the ICE mission by providing a pipeline of future leaders. This position is responsible for carrying out the duties listed below related to managing the ICE Succession Program (ISP). As a Management and Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Manage the daily operations of the ICE Succession Program (ISP) and assists the ESU Chief with oversight of all phases of the ISP programs and work; Oversee all matters related to the High Potential Executive (HPE) program; Represent the ESU Chief in meetings with senior leaders while maintaining liaison with members of the executive staff withing ICE.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Developing and assessing long-term strategic planning for workforce and/or succession planning; Building solid cross-functional human resources relationships; Improving complete human resources management processes and systems or program effectiveness; Coordinating human capital programs such as succession planning, workforce revitalization, or performance management; Supporting the succession planning process and coordinating services in performing analyses of the workforce to identify succession plan priorities; Partnering in the development of strategic succession planning options to address projected recruitment/retention challenges and maintaining organizational knowledge.
