You will serve as a Senior Financial Manager and serve as the principal advisor of the Office of Tribal Government Affairs as well as key staff members on financial management activities, fiscal policy, information systems, and applicable federal regulation as well as internal controls and financial matters, and serve as a Team Lead to guide and deliver the financial and administrative functions for DOT and other federal agencies/programs.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience managing and delivering the financial and administrative functions for an operating administration.
Experience serving as the principal advisor and technical expert for financial management activities, fiscal policy, and the administration of applicable federal regulations for an operating administration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Financial Management - Understands the organization's financial processes. Prepares, justifies, and administers the program budget. Oversees procurement and contracting to achieve desired results. Monitors expenditures and uses cost-benefit thinking to set priorities.
Written and Oral Communication - Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
