This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer in Washington D.C. Serve as a Cloud Solutions Engineer responsible for designing, maintaining, and overseeing the sustainability and security of the agency's local and wide area networks with 100+ locations nationwide that includes hybrid, multi-cloud and on-premise network environments.

Duties

This position is ONLY open to surplus and displaced Small Business Administration employees eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP); displaced Federal employees in the local commuting area eligible for the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP); and VEOA eligibles.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS This position requires that you have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as noted below. This experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. AND MINIMUM/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Specialized Experience: In addition, you must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service, obtained in either the private or public sector which includes: 1) Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS); AND 2) Skill and understanding of cloud engineering, operations, and support of Microsoft and Azure products such as Active Directory, virtual machines, artificial intelligence, Microsoft 365, windows servers; AND 3) Skill and knowledge of AWS storage, cloud infrastructure design, storage, and databases.
