This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Midwest Region in Bloomington, Minnesota. To serve as the primary point-of-contact of the Regional Office.
Duties
Supports the management of the Regional Director's Office, and respective branches, by independently performing a wide range of administrative support work.
Prepares a variety of reports, forms, and correspondence in final form from rough draft, written, and/or oral instructions.
Responsible for providing a wide variety of office/clerical support and administrative service to the Deputy Regional Director and Regional Director and staff of the Midwest Region.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, 0303).
GS-7: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level in the federal government or private sector performing specialized office tasks including making travel arrangements for executive staff; compiling information from a variety of sources to prepare reports for executive staff; preparing supply requisitions according to established rules; & providing direct support and technical assistance to branch managers, supervisors, and staff in departments such as finance, human resources, procurement, property and supply, and Indian self-determination.
Proficiency Requirements:
Position with Parenthetical Title of Office Automation - In addition to meeting experience or education requirements, applicants for these positions must show possession of 40 word per minute typing speed. Applicants may meet this requirement by self-certifying their proficiency. Experience using automation and computers for supply management is highly desired.
