This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Midwest Region, Indian Services, Division of Human Services in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Duties
Perform administrative duties and serve as the point of contact for the Human Services and Tribal Government programs in the coordination of meetings, schedules, conferences, hearings, trainings, special projects, and other key organizational activities.
Maintain office automation correspondence tracking systems. Provide input and review all correspondence and documents to ensure that position, policies, and direction is accurately stated, and all information is properly coordinated.
Receive and process all incoming in-coming and out-going correspondence and data.
Responsible for all financial documents such as travel, training, purchase orders, print orders, and supplies.
Ensure that incoming mail is properly received and routed, retaining that which can be answered personally by reference to policies, precedents, or knowledge of office practices.
Responsible for the preparation of a variety of correspondence and documents, such as letters, requisitions, purchase orders, travel authorizations, and reports.
Perform or assist with a variety of assignments involving gathering data, analysis, and development of responses to inquiries.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303).
GS-5: 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-4 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). This experience must include the following: maintain records and files; answer telephone, greet and assist clients/visitors; prepare a variety of correspondence and reports; maintain project files; maintain and update automated data systems; serve as the timekeeper and point of contact for any time related issues.

EDUCATION: 4 years of successful completion of a full course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
