You will serve as an Electronics Mechanic Work Leader in the FRCSE of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will analyze long-range work schedules to determine manpower requirements, tooling and material requirements, and production methods to be used
You will explain technical electronic information or provide formal instruction to industry professionals
You will use electrical and electronic theory to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.
You will coordinate with electronic mechanics and supervisors to maintain status of work progress and to meet schedule
You will use Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), mechanical measuring devices, jigs, and fixtures
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is the ability to lead and supervise performing duties such as:
Completing repairs and test complex electronic systems and equipment containing electronic devices such as circuit cards, resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, relays, and transformers;
Using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), mechanical measuring devices, jigs, and fixtures;
Working with hazardous materials, work process directives and instructions such as Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Electro Static Discharge (ESD)
Performing troubleshooting analysis of entire electronic systems and related equipment, isolating faults, and applying technical data while using test equipment ranging from common test equipment to depot peculiar test stations.
