You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the FRCSE MRO PRODUCTION DEPT PROD LINES DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will direct the installation, modification, overhaul, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronics equipment. You will use electrical and electronic theory to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment. You will analyze malfunctions and weaknesses revealed by tests to make necessary repairs and other adjustments. You will recommend ways to improve the reliability of electronics components.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Advise and counsel workers on how to improve their performance and explain new work techniques in the electronic mechanic field. Trains subordinates in proper work methods, use of equipment, and safe work practices as an electronic mechanic. Monitors programs to identify problems such as excessive cost or low productivity, determines causes, and implements corrective actions. Resolves workflow problems and takes action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages and other causes of delay and inefficiency. Recommends appropriate changes in procedures and gives advice on the probably effects of changes proposed by others.
