Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Writer-Editor, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Maintaining an internal library of existing presentations and talking points to be of use for entire agency. Preparing speeches and written materials for leadership including slide decks, internal email messages, blog posts, talking points and video scripts. Researching, analyzes, and interprets information from a diverse range of sources. Communicating clearly and concisely in plain language the agency's role and mission, agency and department priorities, and key initiatives.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following: Communicating clearly and concisely in plain language the agency's role and mission, agency and department priorities, and/or key initiatives. Developing, analyzing, and/or selecting appropriate information and presentation of the information in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience. Writing speeches for others, including senior leadership, and is able to incorporate changes and suggestions in a timely manner. Maintaining an internal library of existing presentations and talking points to be of use for entire agency. Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
