Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Writer-Editor, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the development, analysis, and selection of appropriate information and presentation of the information in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Maintains an internal library of existing presentations and talking points to be of use for entire agency. Prepares speeches and written materials for leadership including slide decks, internal email messages, blog posts, talking points and video scripts. Researches, analyzes, and interprets information from a diverse range of sources. Communicates clearly and concisely in plain language the agency's role and mission, agency and department priorities, and key initiatives.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing at least three of the four following: - Communicating clearly and concisely in plain language the agency's role and mission, agency and department priorities, and key initiatives. - Developing, analyzing, and selecting appropriate information and presentation of the information in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience. - Writing speeches for others, using their "voice," including senior leadership, and is able to incorporate changes and suggestions in a timely manner. - Maintaining an internal library of existing presentations and talking points to be of use for entire agency.
