About the Position: Serves as a principle assistant of a section in Health Services Division (HSD), Reserve Personnel Management Directorate (RPMD), U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC). Duties require incumbent to perform administrative personnel actions in such functional areas as: Transition, Retention, Retirement and Separation, USAR Board Support, entitlements, benefits, awards and decorations, and corrections to military record.
Duties
Processes all personnel and administrative actions pertaining to AMEDD support programs and provides recommendations on compliance.
Provides information, data, interpretations, explanations, and/or analysis needed to fully respond to all inquiries.
Assists in clerical, statistical, and data entry tasks in support of AMEDD support programs utilizing a personal computer and HR systems.
Demonstrate courtesy, tact and good judgment to provide effective customer service and assistance to the managed population.
Composes replies to a variety of complex inquiries pertaining to personnel support for AMEDD officers serving in the Army or its Reserve Components.
Requirements

- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes performs a wide variety of administrative functions to support a personnel actions and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch in support of soldiers in the Army Reserve, retirees, veterans, and their family members; performs a variety of administrative support functions to support management requirements; duties require a general familiarity with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and precedents related to the Army Reserve personnel actions and services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
