You will serve as a Computer Scientist in the Enterprise Customer Services Branch, Information Technology Division, Corporate Operations Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).
Duties
You will provide software support and software life cycle management operations concerned with designing, developing, and supporting software in the Corporate Operations Department.
You will plan, schedule and/or conduct a detailed investigation of a phase of a technical project or a complete project with several complex features.
You will perform scientific studies to solve problems; determine feasibility of new products, equipment, methodology; and plan/set standards.
You will develop software for complex, but conventional problems.
You will write test or quality assurance plans, with responsibility for complete plans or a major segment of complex plan developed by a team.
You will review contractor plans, evaluate performance, and/or provide professional review and consultation to the contractor.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional computer scientist evaluating the development of software or testing protocols to ensure the efficacy of an organization.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a Degree in Computer Science
OR
Degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours were in a combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
