About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency J-3/5/7 Operations, (J-3) J-33 Operations located in Falls Church, VA.
Note:
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Duties
Serve as Taskings Operations Officer for J33 Current Operation Branch.
Determine the nature and format of response and staff actions.
Determine corrective actions necessary to solve problems in meeting command requirements.
Facilitate the rapid and timely dissemination of information by utilizing various communication means available within the organization.
Employ current knowledge and understanding of staff missions and project requirements as well as a thorough understanding of the agency’s goals and intent orchestrating critical, highly complex, and frequently sensitive actions
Establish and maintain a professional rapport with leadership, staff action officers, and administrative personnel in managing staff actions, projects, and activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of
employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has been identified as drug testing within the DoD Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Random drug testing is required for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative advisory support to operational taskings projects,
developing short and/or long term plans, coordinating internal support for project initiatives, conducting liaison activities, and coordinating office/program requirements with external stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
